LOUIS, March 17, 2014—Carmen Jacob, CEO of NextGen Information Services, Inc. was awarded by Enterprising Women Magazine as a 2014 Enterprising Women of the Year Award Winner, during a two-day event held, March 2-4, in Sarasota, Fla. The annual tribute recognizes the top women entrepreneurs from North America and around the globe, and is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners.
According to magazine officials, the annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards recognize the finest women entrepreneurs in North America and beyond. In its 12th year, it is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. To receive the honor, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. Many of the honorees also serve as leaders in organizations that support the growth of women’s entrepreneurship.
The award winners of 2014 includes 17 women from outside the United States, representing Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Kenya, India, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Brazil, and Switzerland. Award winners were recognized in six categories this year: annual sales revenues of more than $25 million; annual sales revenues of more than $10 million and up to $25 million; annual sales revenues of more than $5 million and up to $10 million; annual sales revenues of more than $2 million and up to $5 million; annual sales revenues of more than $1 million and up to $2 million; and annual sales revenues of up to $1 million. Jacob was listed in the more than $25 million category.
The award honorees were recognized during a two-day event held March 2-4, 2014 at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota in Sarasota, FL, USA.

15 Year Anniversary
12/8/2012- NextGen Information Services, Inc., a staffing, recruiting and consulting firm specializing in IT recruiting, celebrated its 15 year anniversary and dedication to diversity and downtown business partnerships, with a special, fundraising event, Nov. 8th, at 906 Olive Street, in the Frisco building.
Numerous business leaders from St. Louis gathered to help commemorate NextGen’s history of success, and the firm’s commitment to diversity in the workplace as well as to St. Louis businesses and local charities. The reception included a gallery showcase of St. Louis artists, where art was purchased with a percentage of the proceeds going to St. Patrick Center, the South City Open Studio and gallery (SCOSAG) and the United Way. Representatives from these organizations were also in attendance.
Carmen Jacob, President of NextGen, spoke to about 100 guests regarding the company’s commitment to diversity in the work place. NextGen is a Certified Minority and Woman Owned Enterprise and has received numerous awards throughout the years by Inc. Magazine, DiversityBusiness.com and the St. Louis Business Journal for their efforts and achievements.
Lori Eaton, NextGen’s Vice President, also introduced the firm’s unique new business platform, logo, branding efforts and pledge to “all things St. Louis.” According to Eaton, “About a year ago we were looking to expand and move our offices and made the corporate decision to stay in St. Louis and specifically downtown. We are thrilled with that choice and excited about our work with our large clients, the emerging IT organizations and small businesses now in St. Louis, as well as our increased support of St. Louis charities.”
The evening featured more than 30 local artists, with several of the artists going “live” on display working on specific pieces, music by the Dave Becherer Trio, and International Harpist, Eileen Gannon.
